To Make A Reservation

Please call or e-mail us for reservations. Reservations are secured by payment of one-half of the total bill. This deposit must be paid within one week of making the reservation. Please make your check payable to "Hanalei House" and send to:

The balance must be mailed 60 days before your arrivial unless other arrangement have been made. A 11.4% Hawaii State tax will be added to the daily room rate. Once we receive your deposit we will mail you a confirmation letter and a map to the house.  If you cancel at least 60 days prior to your arrival, full refunds will be made, less a $75.00 cancellation fee. If less notice is given, your deposit will be returned only if we are able to re-book your room. We will make every effort to do so.

Hanalei offers all the activities that you associate with a tropical island and some you probably haven't thought of. There are numerous activities to keep your day filled if you can possible tear your self away from the sandy beach of the bay.. you might want to...

  • Surfing Snorkeling Windsurfing River or ocean kayaking.
  • Famous tropical gardens to tour on your own or with a guide.
  • Helicopter tours of the island.
  • Local farmers' markets with exoctic fruits, vegetables and flowers.


  • Hike the famous Kalalau Trail, which follows the Na Pali coast past jungles, ponds and waterfalls, ending at a secluded beach accessible only by hiking or by boat.
  • Dry caves, wet caves and waterfalls to explore.
  • Bird-life refuge adjacent to vast, quilt-patterned wet taro fields.
  • Yoga classes or massages in your home.
  • Polo Matches in the summer at Anini Beach
  • Two top-ranked 18 hole golf courses at nearby Princeville resort.

  • Horse stables with trail rides into the back country or the cliffs overlooking the ocean.
  • Kilauea Lighthouse and adjacent bird sanctuary of albatrosses, shearwaters, sandpipers, and other indigenous birds.



  • While your here visit the Princeville spa (daily and weekly visitor passes are available), it has probably the best view of any gym on earth.

    A superb Italian restaurant in an outdoor courtyard.
    Zelos: A corner open-air restaurant overlooking the activities in town with large portions of delicious food.

    Tahiti Nui:
    A famous landmark on Kauai. Your hostess, Aunty Louise, offers wonderful Asian cuisine and a bar with local entertainment. Sit on the front porch and watch the local action.
